At T.M. Uli & Son we build quality Craftsman chairs and tables. We specialize in the Morris Chair recliner, Craftsman benches, settees, tables, and chairs. Tim, a native Texan, has been making furniture for over 30 years. Ten of those years were spent in the furniture making mecca of Maine, refining his Arts and Crafts designs, exploring new techniques and taking his craftsmanship to the highest level of quality . To ensure that your furniture will last for generations, we utilize traditional mortise and tenon and dovetail joinery, and all joints are pegged. We use fine quality quarter sawn White Oak extensively, since this is the wood of choice for Arts and Crafts furniture. All of our furniture can be ordered built from native Texas hardwoods. Finishes include everything from the dark amonia fumed oak to a clear, natural finish.Ammonia fumed finish is $50 - $200 extra, depending on size of piece. Each piece has a minimum of 3 coats of our own home brew of varnish and oil finish. Extra protective coats are applied to areas prone to wear and contact with moisture, such as table tops and the wide arms of the Morris chairs.
We will customize to suit customer needs. Usually all we need is a picture or drawing, and some dimensions. All chairs, benches, and settles are covered with quality leather. The seat cushions are our own combination of spring, feather, and foam construction. We know what relaxing is all about and we build chairs that you won't want to get out of.Your satisfaction is guaranteed with all of our funiture.
